I look into the mirror,
And all I seem to see, Is tiny little fragments, Of what I used to be.
As a little girl, My life was wild and free, Swimming in the rivers, And climbing every tree.
So full of hope, And dreams that shined, And lingered on throughout the day, Lending my life a golden glow.
Some days I’d dream I was a knight, valiant and strong, Chasing down brigands and bandits, vile, Like some kind of Joan of Arc.

When I die, Don’t lay me down, Six feet underground. Take my ashes with you, And spread me all around.
Burn me up, And carry me, To the cliffs above the sea. Hold a handful to the sky,
And set it flying free.
Walk with me, Through the woods, And find a sapling tree. Spread some ashes at it’s base. Set some of me to rest.
Take me on, A horseback ride, And spur it on, and run so fast, And when the tears flow at last, Touch some of me to it’s hide.
